Gregory Associates, Inc. has been a local, family owned, and independent insurance agency since 1933. It was founded by Samuel B Gregory, Sr., who moved to Fort Wayne from Cleveland, Ohio, to become a general agent for Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. His sons Ross M. Gregory, Sr., and Samuel B. Gregory, Jr., joined him in the 1950’s, shortly after both men graduated from Indiana University. At that time, the agency’s main business focus was providing life, disability and health insurance.
Ross M. Gregory, Jr., “Mac” joined Gregory Associates, Inc., in 1984, shortly after graduating from Indiana University. During his college years, Mac also worked, and was very interested in the construction business. He decided Gregory Associates’ existing clients, as well as new families and businesses, could greatly benefit by offering property & casualty insurance, including home, auto, and commercial products . In 2002, Mac purchased Gregory Associates, Inc., and continues to provide personal lines insurance (home, auto, umbrella, life, and disability), and commercial lines insurance (business, property, liability, workers’ compensation, and professional liability).
In 2022, Gregory Associates welcomed the fourth generation, Ross M. Gregory III, "Trey", to the Agency. Prior to joining the agency, Trey spent five years as a Property & Casualty Adjuster with a Fortune 500 insurance carrier. Trey is a graduate of Indiana University and holds the Associate in General Insurance, Associate in Claims, and Chartered Property-Casualty Underwriter designations from The Institutes.
